1989 Musica Viva In Schools Group Sounds Baroque is Formed
For more than 25 years now Jenny Eriksson has worked as a performer, teacher and arranger with that most beautiful of instruments, the viola da gamba. Jenny’s professional career has two tracks. The first revolves around the ensemble “Sounds Baroque” which for many years has toured for Musica Viva In Schools performing specially arranged baroque operas for children. Jenny;s second great love is “The Marais Project”, an ensemble she formed in 2000 to play the great French baroque repertoire for the viola da gamba with particular focus on the music of Marais himself.
